about us

The Perinatal Training Centre was designed to support perinatal and infant mental health practitioners through the facilitation of meaningful interactions via workshops, courses and events, which embody the core qualities and principles of effective parent-infant and therapist-client relationships.

Based in Melbourne but with global reach, practitioners are invited to join the global community to stay up to date on new developments, receive one-on-one mentoring, attend regular workshops and learn more about infant mental health. Together the community can foster better connections and improved health for both perinatal and infant families.

Our Approach

The site was created during the pandemic, which meant that all of our meetings were conducted via Zoom and over the phone catch ups. Our digital marketing consultant initially scoped the entire project with the client over a Zoom workshop to better understand their target markets, the needs of the customer, services required and the desired functionality of the site.

Bright Owl Marketing initially created the wireframes to help visualise the proposed page layout with copy, together with the desired functionality. Once this was approved, our developer created a custom-coded WordPress website with integrations into MailChimp and Eventbrite, and was further optimised for security and performance through Cloudflare.

The Challenge

After creating their first site eight years earlier: The Centre of Perinatal Psychology, Bright Owl Marketing now had the task to create a site which had a similar look and feel, but was using all the latest design features and functionality which you would expect from a new site. As there was no other site in Australia that has achieved the goal of offering several different services and learning opportunities for perinatal practitioners, it was important to establish the site as the No. 1 learning site in the industry, and make it highly intuitive and impactful for anyone who visited from Australia and the rest of the world.

The Results

What sets the Perinatal Training Centre apart from other sites within its niche is the multitude of learning opportunities available to perinatal and infant health care practitioners. Everything is housed under one roof and the site is very easy to navigate, with plenty of resources available for practitioners. It really is the go-to learning hub for anyone in perinatal care.
